rothko sent me a link with pictures from a very windy/stormy day in Duluth back in November.
I've been there a couple of times, and saw what I thought were some pretty good-sized waves; these make the ones I've seen look like ripples.
You folks used to the ocean might not think much of these pictures of Lake Superior, but for inlanders like me, this is quite impressive!
From my last trip to Duluth: should you need to visit Urgent Care or the Emergency Room, may I suggest St. Luke's. The folks there were lovely, and the doctor did a masterful job of stitching up the gash I'd managed to inflict on my forehead while collecting driftwood. If you're lucky, you'll even get the bike medic who sings to you while doing an initial check and providing you with a temporary bandage.
