Well, heard Tuesday that I didn't get the job with LB. They liked me, but one of the interviewees was a slightly better match. They also felt bad about only being able to offer me 20 hours/week. Heck, I was fine with 20!

But, I had a message last night from a guy I used to work with. He freelances, and has a client who's asking for more than he can do by himself, and he wondered if I'm available. (Gee, am I?) Go live date at the end of February, further stages after that. He wanted to make sure I knew it would probably be some pretty intense weeks for the next couple of months. (Cool! A chance to DO something! And more income now, when I need it!)

So, he's meeting with the client tomorrow to get more specifics, and he'll let me know after that.

Being that it's freelance, the money's probably better than what I'd get contracting. Though we didn't discuss that yet. But still.
Sure would be nice if I could get something...

Hrm, good day. Heard about the job from Dave; gave an estimate on a couple hours of freelance web dev work for one of Woody's clients; and arranged to do a couple hours of freelance research for another friend.

May be able to afford a slightly bigger Christmas budget, at this rate!


Mom sent me a cartoon today. She knows how annoyed I've been about my weight the last couple years. This one has me wondering if it would work, in some odd way...
