Dec. 16th, 2001 02:35 pmA week in review- sort of.
Had an email from the ex-Fallon list about a possible job, played some phone tag, and had a phone interview for that Friday. (Still waiting to see what might come of the project I heard about the week before- apparently the Friday meeting that would decide it got pushed back a week, so the start date probably wouldn't be until after the holidays.)
Went to a Chamber of Commerce holiday party Thursday and met some neat people, including a lady who used to race Porsches and go to F1 and Indy races, meeting some of the big names. So we happily talked cars and F1 for a while. *grin* (
rothko: Stefan Johannsen actually IS that good looking ALL the time. *grin*)
She invited me to a chamber of commerce committee meeting (yeah, ME) Friday, but had to miss it because of the phone interview. Have to call and let her know I'm interested in coming to the next one...
Last night I got all purposeful- cleared up the living room, vacuumed, folded and put away several loads of clean laundry, ran another load, and pulled out the holiday decorations. I've decided that I'm going to try to put up as many Christmas lights as I can- and I have a LOT. Muahahaha... who needs lamps?
Started working out again a week ago. (The last few times I've tried to get back into the habit, I've caught bronchitis or something, and had to stop for a couple weeks.) My knee is MUCH better than it was even a month ago. Then, I was happy to get up to a run for 30 seconds or so at a time before it started the warning twinges; Friday I managed 1:40 before I had to slow down- and that just because I'm not used to running any more!
Very cool.
