How do I do these things? The dumbest little things, and I end up injured.

This afternoon I lost my balance and came down very very wrong and something horribly nasty happened to my right knee. Can't even tell you what, because all I remember is blinding pain and trying not to crack my head against the nightstand as I went down.

After fainting from the pain and discovering I can't put any weight on that leg at all without screaming, I grabbed the crutches I have on hand, and hobbled to the car and drove myself to the Park Nicollet Urgent Care office.

Spent a few hours there and had some x-rays done, but nothing was obvious. They're having an expert check them out Monday, and I'm supposed to see an orthopedist at some point during the week, if I can get in.

The doc suspected the meniscus may be damaged, or possibly a combination of that and cruciate ligament tears.

Oh joy. *sigh* Finally got my other knee working properly again, and now this.
Still screamingly painful, but now I have one of those imobilizing braces that helps enough that I can put enough weight on that leg to balance. Movement is still hell, but they gave me Vicodin for that. Vicodin is Good Stuff- had it when I nicked a tendon in my hand a few years back.


I think my warranty has expired...
