(no subject)

I love these Thai Kitchen noodle soup packets. 5 minutes, and you have a yummy, spicy meal. Great when you're feeling like crap and have no energy to cook something healthy.

If only they weren't so darned hard to open! Have to have a scissors to get them all open. (main package, oil and spice packs) Oh well, at least I'm alert enough to manage a scissors. (though barely)

I recommend adding bits of veg (e.g bean sprouts, spring oniion, finely chopped lettuce; fresh basil is quite nice in Thai soups too) or some sea-food (squid, crab etc), or whatever leftovers to it. Personally I would worry about the MSG content in the soup flavourings.

"Not fried, No MSG, No gluten & Egg-free"

Pretty nice. :)

The brand is actually Thai Kitchen. Not sure it's available in the UK, but they have a whole line of goodies. Everything from premade, just-add-hot-water type things to individual ingredients. (Noodles, fish sauce, coconut milk, etc.) The products page of the web site has a handy chart of what's gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc.
