A far-right businessman spent 1.7 million dollars to bring us the recall campaign, and has thrown California into chaos. GOP leaders who should have condemned the recall instead cheered it on, hoping they could gain from the unraveling of our democracy.

Date: 2003-09-04 07:42 pm (UTC)Look at Texas...no one I know (even the conservatives) are shocked that the Dems left, and most support it. However, everyone pretty much stops at condemning the Republicans and Tom Delay for what they're doing. It's a no-win-situation.
