Check out "A splendid Little War", which points out the similarities between the current national situation and the Spanish-American war.

It is a far better comparison than WWII, Vietnam, or any other war/conflict/police action that the administration has been comparing it (Iraq, Saddam Hussein) to.

Interesting analogy, and pretty accurate. I wish they had the rest of the article up (without having to pay or watch the ad), but what was up was pretty good.

The ad's no biggie- just an image that loads and sits there for 5-10 seconds, then autoloads the rest of the article.
