Trying to get myself to buckle down and prepare for work tomorrow; they've got me teaching a class in Dreamweaver & Fireworks. (This is the info I got late Thursday. Sure is nice to have a decent amount of time to prepare for 25 hours of teaching!</sarcasm>)
So far, I'm doing quite well at avoiding doing anything!
My sister was up to visit this weekend. We went out Friday and got parts to create a necklace for a friend of hers. Came out really nice, which got me thinking. I've made a few bits of jewelry in the past, but hadn't thought much about doing it as a (possibly money-making?) hobby. Made a couple pair of earrings to see if I still had the knack, and snapped some pics. (Being a packrat, I had a few bits of velvet with which to make backgrounds.)
Silver necklace with oval amber cabochon slide. (The final version had the cabochon upright instead of sideways.)
(L) Lapis and carnelian with gold accents; (R) Onyx and jade with gold accents.
Wonder if I should give it a shot?
