The past couple weeks my knee has been doing a lot better; I really don't bother taking my cane with me anymore when I go places. Last week especially, it seemed the biggest thing was to pay attention and catch myself if I started favoring that leg. (Need to break the limping habit, and retrain the leg to work normally.)
Over the weekend I was noticing that I'm able to straighten that knee to about a -1; last time I saw the PT, it was 0, after a lot of stretching. (My healthy knee hits about a -5; negative being when your knee is past perfectly straight. Negative bend is pretty much necessary to having a normal gait.)
Biked last night, and my knee felt fine, very little twingeing.
Tonight, I did some straight leg lifts (with 3lb ankle weights!) and my knee felt fine! The quadriceps held perfectly, no noticeable weakness. Side lifts were fine as well.
Still can't run (pain), and I can only move so fast, but I can walk almost normally again and my knee is handling basic stuff very well. Just need to keep building up strength in the supporting tissues.
