Flowers have been transplanted! One window-box-size planter is full of snapdragons, I've put a snapdragon each in with the morning glories and peas, both lobelia and a couple snapdragons are in a large hanging pot, one pot of pansies is in a regular pot, and the other is in a smaller hanging basket. All of them were horribly root bound, so I expect they'll have a couple days of shock, followed by a massive growth spurt.
I didn't plan it out terribly well, but I think it will come out fine in the end. Wish I had more deep pots, so I could really let things get a nice, deep rooting. Come to think of it, I do have one more pail I could fill with soil to put things in... of course, that would mean getting more soil!
Tacky as it may look, I use the 28/35lb cat litter pails as planters. They're nice and deep, and have handles so they're easy to move around as needed. Not to mention, they're free. *heh* I kick myself when I think of the pails I took out with the recycling that first winter I was here. Had I been thinking, I'd have at least three more "pots" out there.
Since few seeds took in my makeshift "greenhouse", I've pulled out the "real" one and started more seeds yesterday. We'll see how that goes...
Now that I've been up for a couple hours, I think I might go lie down for a little bit after I have some breakfast and before I get going (again) for the day. Don't think I'll go to the Master Networker's lunch meeting; I've been going as a guest, and since the person whose guest I am won't be there today, that could be mightily awkward!
I should go to the marketing meeting this evening, but I don't know if I really want to. Most of the people I know won't be there this week, and I still sound like a seal barking when I start coughing (which is far too often). Not to mention, all the activity Sunday left me sleeping through most of yesterday, so I know stamina is an issue. This stupid cold thing is lingering far too long- or is it just that I'm still congested and breathing is difficult, which makes me feel tired long before I should?
