Much fun.
Yesterday my car refused to start, and of course being the middle of Friday afternoon there was no place that could work on it right away, or even today.
I was describing the problem to a couple of the places I called, and basically it seems that it could be caused by any number of problems, from the starter to the ignition module, and on down the line. The battery is fine; I turn the key and all the electrics come on, but the engine doesn't turn over. Not even the telltale "click". I hear something under the engine (one place suggested I was hearing the fuel pump running, which makes sense), but no vroom.
After much calling around I was finally able to at least get a copy of the Haynes repair manual for my car, so hopefully I can at least check to make sure all the electrical connections are good. Think that'll be tomorrow's project, though.
Spent 30 minutes on the exercise bike (my knee may make me pay for that...) and followed that with some time stretching in the jacuzzi (hopefully mitigating the knee issue). Plans for the evening involve coloring my hair, making dinner, and feeding my face while I watch some TV. At least, that's what I'll probably wish I was doing... odds are I'll end up working on taxes instead. Need to get those sorted so I can get my refund and be able to pay for getting my car fixed. :P
