Started sketching out some ideas for Phil's company the other day, and finally started really getting into the design trials on Friday. So far I've got 9-10 ideas/variations on the ideas up for them to view.
I'm not terribly thrilled with the color scheme they want, so it's hard to know if I'm evaluating the design based on the design itself, or if my opinion is tainted by my reaction to the colors.
Getting into a bit of a rut with the designs, though- need to try something really goofy to see if I can't come up with something completely different from what I have so far.
Still, think I've come up with some good ones, and I've got a few more in mind but staring at a monitor to do pixel by pixel changes on some details gets really hard on the eyes. Had a nasty eyestrain headache by the time I went to bed Friday (10+ hours straight at the monitor, plus three more from earlier that morning). Did a few more last night, and had a thought this morning...
Actually, had a few thoughts this morning, but my eyes are demanding a break!
Looks like it'll be a long week at the office coming up, too.
Went over yesterday so we could sort out billing/get a bunch of stuff entered into quickbooks without interruptions. Monday will be spent verifying (double checking) loads of that, and possibly starting to print invoices. I think I'll have half a day worth of work just printing and mailing invoices, when we get to that point! (We got a bit behind, what with my not being there for over a month in the middle of switching to being our own domain registrar, etc.)
Plus there's an all-day event Thursday, at which I'll be manning the table while W and G give talks on various aspects of web development/online marketing, etc. There will be much prep for that Monday - Wednesday.
But for now, I think I'll grab some breakfast and go back to bed for a while.
