asherisBribed my way out of the house today- promised myself a nice coconut latte if I got my butt moving. It seems to have worked.
I got over to the office over an hour earlier than I have any other day this week, and that's with making stops for latte and the bank.
Stupid drive up ATM was out of order AGAIN so I had to pull out, go around the block, and come back in to the drive-up tellers; this is becoming far too common. Third time I've run into it this year, out of a half-dozen trips- two of which were trips to a different bank in hopes that their machines were working. Last November & December the ATM's in the area were out of order more often than they were working. Thanks Wells Fargo. Not.
Sent off a resume to a recruiter who has called me a couple times in the last few weeks with job descriptions (high-level Flash programming and JSP development) that clearly aren't met by my skills. Hopefully this will give her a clear reminder of what my skills are, so that she can make better matches.
Ran across a job posting for a part-time content management/editorial position for a small local company. Looks promising, plus it's not far from where I'm putting in a few hours a week now, so it would be very convenient. Don't know what they're paying, but it's got to be better than nothing! (Or unemployment. Which I'm almost out of. Yo Congress, get your collective ass in gear, okay? A lot of people are much worse off than I am, and need this pretty desperately.)
