Michael Brown, who resigned from FEMA after his horrendous screwups, has been re-hired as a consultant to investigate his own failures during the Katrina aftermath/disaster.
Apparently they need him on hand to keep throwing blame.
Addendum: Apparently his resignation from two weeks ago doesn't take effect for a couple of weeks, so he's still on as a private contractor until then. (Amazing. Not something most people can get away with. Resign in disgrace, but we'll pay you MORE to stick around for a while.)
