Pentagon blocks testimony that Bush could have stopped 9/11

(Linking to the DailyKos page about it because it includes so many links to outside sources, and I'm short on time this morning.)

So where's the news coverage of these hearings? They're on live right now on C-SPAN3 (C-SPAN3 the channel is available only to digital cable subscribers).

Rep. Weldon (R-PA) and Sens. Grassley (R-IA) and Spector (R-PA) (note: all Republicans) are PISSED that their hearings are being blocked.

Former Able Data team members told not to testify

Bryan Whitman, a Defense Department spokesman, said in a statement that open testimony about the program "would not be appropriate - we have expressed our security concerns and believe it is simply not possible to discuss Able Danger in any great detail in an open public forum." - yet just a couple weeks ago, on September 1, 2005, the Pentagon held a press conference on Able Danger.

The Coincidence Theorist's Guide to 9/11

I thought this would be just series of pokes at the obvious. But it's actually very disturbing. There are connections here that will scare the crap out of any sensible, thinking person. (And I debated for a while on saying it that way, finally deciding that yes, it really is that scary.)
