Yeah, there's classy. Yet another case of people having to provide more forms of identification in order to get a "free" ticket to a campaign visit/event than you do to cash a check at the bank. Seems to me that if Bush/Cheney were interested in reaching out to potential voters they'd be a little more willing to let people who are undecided see them on the campaign trail!
Or, here's wacky, since half of their campaigning seems to be done on the US people's dime (always finding something "official" to go to, to justify the use of AF1 on the government's dime rather than the campaign footing the bill), maybe let the people of this country actually see their president and vice president when they're going around the country.
If it were a one-time kind of thing, I wouldn't be quite so annoyed. However, they've been doing this all over the country.
Dubuque, Iowa May 7th
Appleton, WI July 18th (ooooh, "dangerous" t-shirt under a button down shirt)
Lebanon, OH May 4
etc.
Yet another "classy" campaign step: asking a newspaper about the reporter's race.
