Kid Gloves for Neo-Con Cranks, which points out glaring discrepancies in how people are treated by the White House, federal authorities, and the "free" press, based on their political ideology. Includes goodies such as:
"A fool chooses to starve himself and we choose to watch. One billion people have no choice and we ignore them."
Kid Gloves for Neo-Con Cranks, which points out glaring discrepancies in how people are treated by the White House, federal authorities, and the "free" press, based on their political ideology. Includes goodies such as:
- Pat Robertson, with his comment on air that "Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up." (Suggesting that the State Department be nuked- most people would be picked up by the FBI for less.) And don't forget last summer's classic, when he beseeched God to "take out" three of the Supreme Court justices. Or a few years ago when he asked God to send a hurricane to hit Disneyworld, for allowing gays to meet there.
- Redneck Nation author Michael Graham's observation last May on Chris Matthews' Hardball program that "anyone listening to Hillary Rodham (Clinton) in her speech last week about patriotism — that screaming, screeching fingernail — I wanted to bludgeon her with a tire iron." (Wow, anyone said that about Bush Sr, and I suspect the Secret Services would have had them in for questioning; again, people have been pulled in on far less.)
- Ann Coulter and her list of people she things should be killed. Excerpts: leaders of certain Muslim states, Al Qaeda captive John Walker Lindh, Al Gore, and Bush Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta. Oh, and her "only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building." (Meanwhile, if anyone else were to have suggested that, they'd be getting a visit from the FBI about suspected terrorist threats.)
- Neo-con character assassin Andrew Sullivan, who two years ago was found placing an ad anonymously on a Web site soliciting partners for "unprotected" (no-condom) sex. He's HIV positive. He's vocal in his claims that the AIDS epidemic is due entirely to gay promiscuity. (Hypocracy alert! Or should that be "Idiot Alert", for being too dumb to make the connection between HIV, AIDS, and unprotected sex?)
- Bill Bennett and Rush Limbaugh, both of whom "came clean" and "took responsibility for" their problems - only after they were exposed in the press and/or involved in a major drug investigation. (After years of attacking people who were suffering from the same addictions they have.)
