What a grey, drizzly, misty day. :P

So amazing lightning last night- had the whole northern sky lit up bright as day for a few seconds on more than one occasion.


Had some more bad luck with the fish; the new cory cat and the black (male) molly died. Went back and got a new molly (still in the 14 day "warranty"), but decided against another catfish.

Current tank population:
1 chinese algae eater
1 brown cory catfish
2 sunset firetail platys (both female)
1 white molly (female)
1 black molly (male)
1 male betta (royal blue with scarlet)
6 baby mollies, apparently white, too small to tell sex

Rearranged some of the plants to joggle things up, and try to undo some of the territorial games that have been going on the past few days.

The New York Times is reporting that the Pentagon is preparing efforts to sway public opinion abroad by using their new Office of Strategic Influence.

Yes folks, propaganda.

As if it wasn't bad enough that one of the advertising minds behind the Uncle Ben's rice and American Express ad campaigns (Charlotte Beers) was chosen to fill the position of Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy.
