Sep. 24th, 2001 07:31 pmSaturday- the Waseca Marching Classic. Helped with some setup (starting at 8:30 am) and counting out funds, watched the bands in the parade. My sister's kids did very well, and won their class. (She's a band instructor.)
The afternoon started out okay, but swiftly became gloomy- then it started sprinkling. Some of the bands went on to do their field shows, but about 2:30 the rain became too heavy and more importantly, the lightning started. Everything was moved indoors, to standing performances in the gym.
Stuck around helping out with setup for snacks and cleanup (my parents were both volunteers, so I was stuck there anyway!) before getting back to mom & dad's around 8:30 pm. Exhausting day- and compared to the kids, we had it easy.
Sunday- woke up sick. Decided it was best not to go visit family, particularly my grandparents, one of whom is sick in hospital. Also figured I'd better head home before it got worse. Last time I felt this hideous, I had pneumonia.
Today- went to the doctor, who strongly suspects bronchitis. Stopped at the pharmacy and the library, and was utterly exhausted by the time I got home.
Guess I was getting sick last week.
