Sep. 7th, 2001 07:54 pmEither I'm hallucinating, or a little while ago someone was using a bow to shoot from their balcony at some birds that were making a lot of noise.
It was definitely something throwing high-speed projectiles, and had that thrumming sound you hear from the bowstring after you release an arrow. Not sure which balcony it was coming from, but guessing from what I could see of them hitting the trees, they were very close.
As soon as I went out on the balcony to see if I could pin down where it was coming from, there was one last shot, then the sound of a screen door sliding shut.
What the hell??
(Yes, I do know how crazy it sounds. Kept thinking that it couldn't possibly be what it looked like. But after seeing 4-5 of the things fly past at very a high speed, each with that thrumming sound, there's not much else to think.)
And here I thought I lived in a nice, normal suburban neighborhood!
