asherisOne of these days, I really need to start getting to bed before stupid o'clock in the morning. Getting up in the morning might be a little easier if I did.

asqmh: Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal by Christopher Moore. Girl, I blame you for the lack of sleep the last few days! :) This is an excellent book. Yeah, some people would call it disrespectful because of some of the things that are said (Jesus, aka Josh, saying "Nah... just fuckin' with ya."), but I think it's wonderful.
According to one chapter cover page:
"The rabbi's battle cry: Torah! Torah! Torah!"
(I'll talk more sensibly about it sometime after I've finished reading it, AND have had more sleep...)

Date: 2003-11-20 05:33 am (UTC)Okay, not really, but it's pretty stinkin' good. I loved it. ^_^ But you're right - some people don't like the "human" side of Jesus, so it's been hard finding people around here who'll read it past the first couple of pages.
