Suggestions?

The "listening" bit (earpiece, speaker, whatsit) on my cordless (land line) phone isn't working. The phone rings, if I pick it up people can hear me, but I can't hear them. Total pain in the kiester. Thing's not quite four years old.

Hope it doesn't come to it, but I may need to go find a new phone. Since I've been considering getting an answering machine and dropping the expen$ive VM from Qwest, maybe it's time to get a combo machine. (At a little over $7/month savings on the VM, it'll pay for itself after a few months.)

Any suggestions on a cordless phone/digital answerer with 2-3 voicemail boxes, an option for letting people choose which to get, preferably more than 15 minutes of record time, and not staticy/garbled on the recording.playback (I've seen complaints about hat on a lot of answerers)?

Preferences: dual keypad (handset & base), speakerphone (for those long hold times on calls), caller ID (do they even make them without anymore?). I only have one line, but I'm okay with a two-line phone if it's the only way to get the features, though preferably without a much higher price! If it's got a headset jack, tres cool.

I'm partial to the Panasonic style handsets; I find the Vtech ones just aren't comfortable to hold.
