Apr. 26th, 2003 11:43 amOh man, I bet I'm going to be sunburned.
So gorgeous out this morning, that I made a cup of coffee (okay, turned into 3) and sat out on the balcony to read and get some sun. Probably 1.5 hours of the last two have been spent out there, in running shorts and t-shirt.
Yesterday I picked up some flowers for the balcony (pansies and snapdragons) and a little pot of ivy. (Paid for with the $6 I got from turning in my aluminum cans at the scrap metal place and some change I found while sorting through old boxes of stuff.)
Also grabbed a bunch of paint chips- turns out I can paint if I want, as long as I paint it back to white when I leave. (They'll provide the "white" paint- it's really a beigy-off-white.) I'm hoping to make this place a little brighter- all this beige is wearing. Of course, since I don't want to have to mess with painting trim, whatever colors I decide on will have to "go" with the existing tan-beigy color.
Also trying to stick with lighter shades, so painting over it won't be too big a hassle. Maybe go darker in the dining room (better known as my "office"), that's small enough a space to do two coats no problem, if need be.
I'm having so much fun picking colors- brought home a huge pile of chips, anything that looked remotely appealing, and I'm checking them out in different light to see how they might look here. I love this stuff!
Off to see P. soon, spending the rest of the weekend.
