My laptop has made it as far as Eagan! Hurray!
I was a little concerned earlier when it was sitting in Des Moines (On the way from LA), but it's almost here. Should be seeing it tomorrow, maybe even in the morning!
(Yes, I am easily excited.)
The carpet was shampooed late this afternoon (freebie for re-signing my lease last spring), so I now have heaps of things on any non-carpeted surface, and furniture pushed against the walls. I've cleared the couch and half the bed through careful re-allocation of the piles of things, which is good, because I've had to admit that I'm sick.
After the guy left and I re-piled things, I grabbed some advil and slept for a couple of hours. For about 5 minutes after I got up I felt okay, but now that I've taken time to move some things in from the balcony to the few dry spots, I feel like hell again. Body aches, headache, fever/chills (I think, hard to tell with hauling and windows open), exhausted, somewhat dizzy, and that tell-tale hot prickly feeling behind the eyes.
My kitchen is full of stuff- all I can really access without moving everything is the fridge, the microwave, and a cupboard of canned goods. I may have to admit defeat and order pizza.
Or... hot, spicy food is good for colds, I wonder if I could make it to Chipotle and back before West Wing starts in 35 minutes...? The question is, do I have the energy to do so- the anser, sadly, is no.
Wonder where my pizza coupons are...?
